Responsible for all accounting functions of the WSPYAA - approximately 2-10
hours per week.
Process vendor checks on a weekly basis (mail checks to vendors or coordinate
check pick-up with sport commissioners).
Process accounts receivable on a weekly basis (including bank deposits).
Pick up PO box mail on a weekly basis.
Respond to sport commissioners questions concerning financial performance
(budget/expenses) on a 'as needed' basis.
Reconcile monthly bank statements.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Present financial statements at the monthly WSPYAA board meetings (held the
2nd Monday of each month except July).
Assist public accountants with documen tation for annual tax reporting.
Serve as a WSPYAA board member.
Skills needed:
Knowledge of basic financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss
statement).
Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software or similar accouting softward programs.
Excel spreadsheet experience.
This is a paid position, with the Treasurer position receiving 1% of gross
sports revenues for performing the duties of the position.
Approximate range: $4,000 to $5,000 annually.
